Chima Hiro is a music fan first and foremost. She was already looking for special tracks in the most unexpected corners, well before she even dreamt of being a DJ. In Lisbon, where she is currently based, she celebrates music, DJing, and dancing the night away, at the booths of some of the city’s most established clubs like Lux Frágil, Lounge or Damas. The tracks she curates embrace a spectrum that is as expansive as it is surprising, just like her untainted taste which granted her a show at the underground Rádio Quântica. Moody but colorful, innovative but archetypal - Chima Hiro’s sets touch on new age and jazz as well as distorted beats over acid lines or uplifting, melodic house.
Who is Chima Hiro?
