Producer and DJ Jonathan M. Vazquez, better known as Not Enough Soul, is currently based in Washington DC but spent his childhood traveling and living in several cities across the United States. His music pays homage to the many different sounds and vibrations he certainly picked up along the way. You may have caught N.E.S. performing in several venues like Flash (DC), The Jungle Room (RVA), DC9 and Wild Days (DC). Not Enough Soul’s sets deliver techno and electro raw fusions and truly “gutter” tracks. With a monthly residency at DC’s Eaton Radio (The Barracks), Not Enough Soul and his team established Barracks Records to allow the public a chance to go on a true dimensional voyage into a blend of raw and trance-inducing electronic music.

I am a Producer/DJ and music lover.

Where is Not Enough Soul from?
I was born in Ft Bragg North Carolina, Due to the nature of my father’s position in the military my family was constantly moving so I was very lucky to have traveled and lived and so many different places around the US in my formative years. I am currently residing in Washington D.C. Musically I’m from the gutter, I love the filthiest little tools and tracks to keep the dance flooring activated.

What is Not Enough Soul's community? 
My community consists of so many different homies from all over the world. I like to think most of the people in my community are constantly pushing the envelope in all ways possible as creatives and humans in general. We all enjoy the journey and we also strive to do better daily.

How does your work reflect who you are and where you're from?
I think my work reflects the evolution in my production process as well as my diverse roots definitely fuel the blended contrasts of sounds of my discog and record box.
