An audiovisual designer with 10 years of experience, João communicates through image and sound in diverse fields as graphic design, music production or radio hosting. He started employing music for positive change as a DJ in Lisbon’s local music scene and was soon invited to play in well-respected booths all over European clubs, festivals, and radios. Recognized for a hypnotic blend of modern and old school techno and electro/breakbeats, he launched his first record under the Catalan/Peruvian label Basal in 2012. In 2015 he materialized his own multidimensional vision in Paraíso, a record label, club night and radio show which pays homage - and keeps alive - a distinct rave sound that emerged in the 90s and was labelled “underground house music from a paradise called Portugal”.
